Applicants for membership are expected to undertake coaching to achieve a minimum skill in either Association or Golf Croquet.
In the case of an applicant already experienced at Croquet, the Applicant would be expected to play a game with an experienced plkayer to assess skill level and suitability for
membership of the Club.
Members are expected to join the Waiting List for MCC Membership, though consideration is afforded to age of the Applicant.
Life Member Selection Policy
Honorary Life Membership recognizes outstanding service to the club. In the case of the MCC, it has been bestowed sparingly and, including visiting royalty,
only 81 members have been honoured since the foundation of the MCC in 1838.
GOAL:
Life membership may be awarded to those who have made a significant contribution to the club. The aim is to make life membership hard to obtain so that it is respected by
Members and valued by recipients.
CRITERIA
Years of membership
Representation of the club in competitions.
Number of games played or attended as a volunteer official e.g. referee.
Contributions to the functioning of the club over time; e.g. administration, executive positions, coaching, or promotion of club activities.
Concurrent life members are limited to five (5)
PROCEDURE
Nominations for Life Membership shall be agreed by the Committee, proposed at a General Meeting and ratified by 2/3 of the Members voting.

Green Fees
Green Fees of $5 are to be paid by all playing visitors to the Club.
Exceptions are:
family members such as children and grandchildren.
invited visitors to the club for formal occasions such as Season Opening Day.
CLUB AWARDS
Chair's Award
The Chair's award is decided upon criteria set be the Chair each year.
Generally, it will be awarded to a person who has represented the Club either as an official or as a top player, and who has been active in the running of the club.
Club Award
The Club Award is decided by the Committee and is awarded to a Club Member for outstanding service to the Club during the year.
Most Improved Player
The most improved player is a player who, during the year, has shown great improvement in their skill; this is normally demonstrated by handicap reduction, but other factors may be taken into account.
Best Pennant Player
This award is based on the number of wins during the Pennant Season. This is calculated by one point per win in singles and half a point for a win in doubles.
